An Invitation

So, this program is not only good for India; it is good for the entire world. Everyone is following Mahaprabhu’s movement all over the world. But now India has taken a step back. This movement is helpful for everyone because it started in India. But India is not following the movement. The movement will be complete when India will follow. By following this movement of Mahaprabhu, everyone will be happy and peaceful. Our congregation has many Muslims, Christians, Jains, Parsis, and Jews. But Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s movement doesn’t think about anyone’s religion. Everybody has the soul inside them. Everyone has a body. Everybody has consciousness. But this consciousness has come from God. Everyone lives according to the purpose of their body and not according to the purpose of their soul…

Gopis’ Love – 07 July 1996 Eugene

He took Govardhana hill on the little finger of His left hand. Do you know why this little finger was used? Because Srimati Radhika is always on the left side of Krsna. And the little finger is on the extreme left. So, Srimati Radhika was there and She lifted Govardhana. If Krsna has no power, He is nirvisesa-brahma. He is nihsaktik, nirakara, arupa, nirguna, and all these things. He cannot lift Govardhana. If He has no shape, how can He lift Govardhana? So, Krsna is powerful. But His power is Srimati Radhika. She is His attribute and energy. Srimati Radhika lifted Govardhana…

You Should Follow Me – 07 July 1996 Eugene

Krsna and the sakhas went there and saw how the place was so beautiful; it was like Vrndavana. There were so many flowers and trees there. Flowers like Beli, Chameli, Juhi, and so many kinds were there. Krsna and the cowherd boys were cowherding there. Kamsa wanted Krsna to not take His cows to Talavana and the other forests. But Krsna went there anyway. Kamsa planned that no one should take the flowers and fruits of that area…

The Greed To Follow – 07 July 1996 Eugene

Then the sadhu began to dance. He said, “At first, I had no certainty that I will serve Narayana. But now I hope; I have a very strong hope now that after those many births, I will surely go and serve Him…”

Siddha-pranali – 06 July 1996 Eugene

Bhaktivinoda Thakura said, “Don’t try to reconcile all these subjects by your mind; never do so. You should chant more and you should listen to hari-katha from bona fide Vaisnavas. Read all the sastras and always pray. Then you can easily reconcile everything; otherwise your mental exercise will not do.” But these instructions are not followed; and this results in sahajiya…

Svamiji—My Siksa-Guru – 06 July 1996 Eugene

Svamiji wrote about everything to me. He requested me to send mrdangas and some pairs of karatalas from India. Later, he also told me, “Send me the Sri-vigraha (deities) of Gaura-Nityananda Prabhu and Radha-Krsna.” I followed all his orders. I began to laugh when in one letter of his, he said, “Send ten kilos of Mathura peda (an Indian sweet) at once.” He ordered me to send this peda two-three times, and I sent the sweet every time…

Srila Bhaktivinod Thakura

The Thakura’s kirtanas have been translated into all the major languages of the world. Everyone will be nourished by the rasa of these kirtanas. This is the power of Satchitananda-tattva, the tattva of eternity, knowledge, and bliss. The Karuna-sakti of Mahaprabhu is embodied in the form of Bhaktivinoda Thakura…

A Brief Autobiography Of Srila Gurudeva – 08 July 1996 Eugene

At the time of his death, my father called me. I gave the Gopala-mantra to him. I put Tulasi leaves in his mouth and I chanted harinama. For the whole night, about a thousand people were reciting Hare Krsna Hare Krsna and I recited the whole Gita. As everyone heard me, I told my father, “Oh father, now I am going. My duty is over. Yama will never come to you; he cannot touch you…”

Vision Of Vrndavana 08 July 1996 Eugene

And according to the time the same wine in new bottles will come i.e. more books will come. We only see the bottles and not the same wine. This is the reason for quarrelling…

I Want Pure Devotion (Pt. 2) – 12 July 1996 Seattle

A kanistha-adhikari unwillingly commits offenses because he does not know the rules and regulations. But if he comes to the stage of a madhyama-adhikari, then he will know Krsna-tattva, jiva-tattva, and bhakti-tattva. He knows all forms of knowledge. Such a devotee is a madhyama-adhikari. But if one dishonors Vaisnavas, speaks against the sastra and does not obey his Guru, then he is certainly committing offenses. And he will fall down some day…
